The last weekend of September, the medieval village of Vézénobres
organizes the Mediterranean Days of Fig.
Great gastronomic and festive event around this iconic fruit of the Mediterranean.

Each year a country or region of production is invited to attend the event (Greece, Lebanon, Tuscany, Tunisia ...).
A little history:
Trade of the fig is mentioned in Vézénobres from the fourteenth century.
The people of this village are then dried figs under the covered terraces south-facing houses, called "calaberts."
By 1899, mentions the fair of St. Andrew, on November 30, where the figs are sold in large quantities (400 quintals).
